Welcome to the official Lumber River
Campground
and Trail Ride
Website!

Lumber River Campground and Trail Ride was
established in 2000 by the Williamson
family. Nestled on sixty acres next to
the scenic Lumber River in Columbus
County, Lumber River Campground is an
excellent get-away destination for the
horse or nature enthusiast! We have
nightly, weekly, monthly, and yearly
rates.
We are
located approximately sixty miles from
Myrtle Beach SC, Fayetteville NC, and
Wilmington NC, and only thirty miles
from Interstate 95, and the Boys and Girls Home Horse
Arena in Lake Waccamaw, NC.
Saddle up and
attend one of our trail ride weekends,
and ride for hours on over 2500 acres in
the Lumber River State Park! Our large
arena is a great place for riders to
test their skills in barrel-racing. Also
enjoy eating supper and dancing on
Friday and Saturday nights in our large,
covered pavilion.
Bring your
camper, bring your tent, or call ahead
to reserve one of our cabins or campers.
All of our campsites include full
hookups, equipped with electric and
water, unless you primitive camp. In our
two barns, horse stalls are also
available for rent. With a deposit, you
can also reserve a specific lot to camp.
For your
convenience, we have two bathhouses with
restrooms and showers. Our covered,
riverside shelters are the perfect place
for picnics and our piers are great for
fishing in the Lumber River. In
addition, Lumber River Campground has a
playground for the kids.
Allow us to
organize and cater your next occasion
right next to the beautiful Lumber
River. With a seating capacity of
approximately 400, our large, covered
pavilion is the perfect spot for your
next church, group, family, or school
event or your special occasion!
Outfitted with a DJ booth and dance
floor, entertaining your guests could
never be easier.
Call or email to be added to our mailing
list to receive notifications of our
latest events and trail rides.
We have variety of activities for you
and your family to enjoy, including
fishing in our stocked
ponds or the Lumber River, swimming in
our pool, trail riding,
and dancing, so pack up your bags and
join us for our next trail ride weekend!
